Tilley, you owe me a keyboard. I just got drool all over mine and it's ruined. I can't find a single mediocre/bad model in the bunch. I want all of them. Felix, i love you. That Challenger is outstanding. Better than the HWS version.

Well it seems there's a lot of 4-sided tampo jobs here.

But pick of the bunch has to be that AMAZING 911 GT3!!

From what i've seen that is model of the year, no questions.

The Exige, with proper lotus colours, runs it close too, and the R8 is brill as well!

    Bring it on!

Re: 2009 Basic range release schedule as at batch A (updated again with pictures)

    What a great selection....

Love the ice cream van - is it based on an old Bedford CA - like the old first series Bedford milk float, Dunlop van and Evening news van?

The Sahara Survivor looks to be based on a SAS Pink Panther Land Rover?

Love the Land Cruiser, Warrior etc etc.

Now I just need to see them in the shops.

Even reasonably priced bay "buy it nows" + postage mean they cost a lot each.

So come on Tesco, Asda etc

What about a direct purchase system from the UK?

    Yours desperately Chris

Re: 2009 Basic range release schedule as at batch A (updated again with pictures)

    So, my impressions.

First, Im seeing lots of at-least-3-sides-tampo, which is excelent. At the same time, I see lot of sides-instead-of-front-and-back tampo, which is not good at all.

There is a ton of must-haves! About all the new ones are perfect, including most generics! Land Cruiser and Challenger are perfect! I hope the Toyota will retain its white roof... wasn't that a reason for not making the FJ Cruiser? And a Mini was needed on the range since the Racing Mini was no more!!

And Viper and Dune Buggy made me realise 2009 are already on the stores in Chile. Saw them yesterday.

Seeing the pictures, there are cars that now are way more desirable than before, like:

Mercury Cougar: That tampo underneath looks nice, I guess its realistic?

Jaguar E-Type: Love the license plate on the bonnet!

TVR Tuscan: Mmmm, I don't like that colour combination. The black outline of the stripes looks thick, better not having outline at all. And gold? The purple on the Golf looks more TVR-ish.

Ford GT, Shelby conv, Lotus Exige, Jaguar XK, Volvo C30, Scion, all look gorgeous, but oh my god that Porsche is stunning! Corvette too, new headlamp tampo? Love the Routemaster, and its coming!!! Whoohoo! Hopefully is not gonna be almost imposible to get, like the first time?

The Audi R8 needed those sides in other colour, hope they will remain so, because black seems a little boring to me.

Dodge Magnum... ugly side tampo! What about fake woodie panels? Colour doesn't seem apropiate either. What about some metallic blue, maybe silverish light blue?

VW Golf GTi... purple?! Eeeeww! I hope it's another limited edition... I'd rather see the Fahrenheit done again... or the red one, a yellow, green, white one...

Mitsubishi Eclipse Concept: Why can't they do it in the proper show colour? This is close, but still, makes me wonder.... seems to have a clear-ish roof, with is a vast improvement over the previous orange issue, though.

Lexus look between blue and purple, which is good because I won't be needing a model that is not gonna come here anyway. Same with the Navigator, both are not very different from previous variations.

The GMC and Ice Cream van are glorious! Im happy to see the latter is quite like a Bedford, I couldn't remember myself what it looked like. Can it be a "generic" like the London Taxi. Hope so... money starved GM should be easy to get licenses from? anyway...

Don't like the Street Sweaper. I just don't like that kind of trucks, how they look, even if its realistic for the same reason that kind of truck design is pretty generic itself, I mean the real trucks look very generic anyway.

Im glad to see I won't be missing that VW Caddy a lot either. The design look generic, and is not like some of the VW liveries we've talked about here...
Same goes for the Minivan. From all the retro designs and colours that can hold, has to be that generic-looking and too modern design?

I again repeat, working liveries don't work for that flared Chevy Van. I hope to see more groovy crazy designs on the sides of future variations, or one as cool as that with the Matchbox logo on the sides, that would work wonders on the VW Caddy, too.

Crown Victoria Taxi, great! Thing on the roof, I hope is done in some other colour, and is maybe too big? Tampos on the sides... what are you thinking!!!! What are those unrealistic splats?! I'd rather have it in yellow with only front and rear tampo!

Chevy Impala, nice casting. I wanted to see it in the line, but to sport some rear-and-front tampos. As it is, is not very atractive. Couldn't you make it civilian and so give it a proper tampo treatment? In silver would be fantastic.

Love the Charger! And I bet the Chevy Highway Mainteinance is not gonna have a plow...

Silver grille on the DAF? Why oh why? And also, I think it resisted more nice realistic schemes before being customized like that!

Generics: They are beautiful! The Mover is almost a Chevy, and looks the part with Budget behind. Is the Jungle Cruiser gonna use the FJ Holden or some of those old Chevy or Airflow vans as body? Weird concept, looks like a Power Wagon with that grille on the front, what was the inspiration behind it?

The Sahara Survivor has a Lamborghini face! Looks like the prototype Jeep replacement project they did and that was done by Tomica. And the Rock Shocker looks like the Hilux destroyed by Top Gear. Fantastic!

The Honda Ridgeline needs its front and rear tampos, and Im so happy those Jeeps concepts are out of the LAAM range.

Overall, great job! But you already know what I don't like.

Lots of great cars and great new colors, but I have one question...

Is there any indication as to when we will see these? Does anyone know what will be in batch B... C... ect? I really like the looks of the 63 Cadillac Ambulance and would like to know when to look for it.
