#41 Jag, red hubs and #5 decals?

It is always possible that such decal variations were made at the factory, if the decals are from the same time frame as the model itself, which is the case here.

We have heard before that some factory workers put incorrect decals or labels on the models just out of boredom, so really anything is possible.

But of course it is also possible that such a variation was created outside the factory with decals from decal sheets that got smuggled out of the factory.

You can never tell for sure, unless you have complete knowledge of the model's provenance.

    Without rock-solid provenance... Wellllllllll........

Let's just say that I could switch decals tomorrow and make this variation, using original glue and all....

On that basis Mark we would never buy another questionable model? i go with Christian on this one and as at the time these were made they were just toys anything is possable, but valid point on switching.

Very easy to make one so I would never pay a premium price for it.

Red hubs is much more rare than the 5 decals anyway. If the hubs are ok then it is definately an interesting model.

You took the words out of my mouth Tom! If the red hubs are clearly authentic it is a special model no matter the doubt created by the decals.
